There seems to be a lack of polish in their hiring process. I was ghosted by a recruiter a few weeks ago, but my application status still says "You will be contacted by: <INSERT NAME HERE>. " The actual phone screening went okay. Ahead of the call, I was sent a few generic questions, including some irrelevant ones such as which location I want to apply to (the location was already listed in the position). After the screening, I was asked one more question, which was still a little generic, but it at least applied to the role. I was told I'd hear back in about a week. I didn't hear a thing. I will say that, once we were on the phone, the recruiter was friendly at least. My takeaway from the call was that it had gone well and that I might actually get to meet with the hiring manager. It's the ghosting that stings. I was told that I would hear back from them either way within a week. It's been three.
