First interview was with store manager. She was friendly and laid back. We connected well and it was low-pressure. She spoke poorly of another candidate by name which struck me as distasteful. But otherwise, a good experience. Second interview was on the phone with the BDL (district manager) and I also connected with her. It felt natural and questions were thoughtful and thorough. A few days later, the BDL called me to inform me that the store manager position had opened and asked if I might be interested in the position. I was very much interested and it took a couple more days for her to get a formal offer ready. I was kept up to date at all times. I was hired without meeting the BDL in person
