I found a position for Appointment Setter on LinkedIn. I sent in my resume as it was entry level, and I needed an entry level position for sales. The phone interview had all the red flags, also phone interview, not Zoom. The recruiter talked like a car salesman, was unable to answer pretty standard questions, and all around it felt very fishy. "These positions are going fast!" he said. It's a job, sir, not a car. I was offered a job and then training was set for the next day, and also told the next training scheduled would be in March if I missed out on the opportunity now. I was surprised, but said fine. I got sent the paperwork to sign and told I needed to do it before the training. I discovered only after the phone interview that it wasn't an actual employment opportunity, because it was an independent contractor position. I also found out the contract allowed the company to take money out of your bank account in the event of "clerical errors." Also, my signing my signature on the contract, the paid training promised on the phone interview would be nulled. I sent off a text message asking for clarification on these points. My texts were not answered until after the training day, as in they probably expected me to sign and show up and get ripped off. No thanks, cannot recommend to anyone.
