Recruiter screen, ~30 minutes Immediate take-home coding exercise, without speaking to any engineering staff first. The unpaid assessment was expected to be complete between Friday and Sunday evening so it could be reviewed that Monday morning. There was no expectation given for the level of effort, so it was difficult to gauge how much time was expected to be spent (e.g. 2, 3, 6, 16, 32 hours). I received a rejection from the recruiter with some generic feedback of my assessment. Given the open-ended nature of the assessment and unknown expectation for LoE, the feedback felt a bit senseless. Red flag when an organization is asking for open-ended take-home assessment to be perfect and production-ready done over a weekend. Likely will reflect expectations of the role and the work environment.

The process was refreshingly positive and well-structured. From the onset, the communication was clear, and each stage was meticulously organized. The technical assessments were challenging but fair, offering a good balance for the coding problems. Additionally, the interview provided a deep insight into the company's culture and values. Throughout, the interviewers were respectful, attentive, and provided constructive feedback.
