A 30 minute video call which is a first level screening from HR. HR provided an overview of the organization, explained their needs in terms of the position. and the next steps in terms of the hiring process. They said they'd have a decision within the next day or two. I followed up a week later with a thank you and inquiring about the status of the position. (Fully aware that I hadn't moved on). No reply. I followed up a month later to close the loop (well aware that it had certainly been filled at this point). Again, no reply. Clear lack of professionalism to complete the process from HR. If I've invested 30 minutes in a screening then surely they have a generic rejection letter for those candidates that weren't selected once a suitable individual has been secured. It doesn't take much effort for them to communicate the position has been closed so that interviewees can then close the loop.
