The interview was with the Ops Manager for the team and while I have empathy for things popping up unexpectedly, the interviewer left to answer her door and was gone for 15 minutes. I led with grace regarding the circumstance, but it made the rest of the interview awkward.
I then receive an email that I made it to the next round and to prepare my recommendations on a company survey and outweigh some pros and cons regarding a new office location. I spent 2 hours working on this assessment and got it done immediately before the holiday week to set a good example.
What happened next left a sour taste in my mouth. On CHRISTMAS MORNING, I received a standard automated rejection email and that was it. No follow-up from the human I first met with, no feedback to the assessment I spent hours completely on a Friday, NOTHING.
To BlackEdge Capital, all I have to say is, DO BETTER. It's bad enough that the job market continues to be volatile, but to actually be so careless with your candidates and send a careless rejection email with no feedback, says volumes.
