J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Birdland en janv. 2022

      Entretien

So Birdland contracted me via LinkedIn during Christmas, saying that they were interested in talking to me about a possible role with them,  to which I replied that I wanted to know more since it seemed like a good opportunity for me and they came back that the would email me after Christmas. I completely forgot about it and by the end of January I get an email from the same HR person. In the email it said that they wanted to offer me a BG lead position for an upcoming 2D show. I thought I misread it because it was too good to be true, so I showed the email to my boyfriend and he understood the same thing! I was very excited, it looked like the opportunity I'd been waiting for a while now! So I emailed them back saying that I want to know more and that I am interested, and we arrange an interview for that same day. So I jump on a call with this HR person, we have a nice conversation, he tells me about the company, the project and that they were interested in someone with BG experience, like myself, to move to the Canary islands within a month, to which I responded with enthusiasm and and let them know that I'm willing to move happily there to work with them, in a month after signing the contract, if the conditions were right. So after all this talk he tells me a have to do a test... I'm not thrilled about it, specially because they came to me, I never applied for the role, but ok, it's standard procedure, I can understand. I work on the test during the weekend, and I upload it to their platform, Sunday night, and send a message to HR to let them know and to please confirm they've received it. I get no answer from them so I message again on Wednesday to ask if they've received it, and they get back to me saying that yes, and that I would receive the answer by the end of the week (let's remember that they were in a hurry). Two weeks pass and nothing, so I email again to see if everything is ok, I don't get any answer...a month is gone by, and I've completely lost faith, since the role was supposed to start in less than a week. I email them one last time, asking if there was something wrong, and once again nothing. Basically I've been ghosted by this company. I spent an entire weekend working on their test, the least they can do is let me know I didn't get the position. They have been truly disrespectful with myself and my time, and probably to other people as well. Don't waste people's time, if they give you their time, be considered and take the time to write them letting them know you've seen the test but unfortunately you didn't make the cut, but it's important to acknowledge the effort they've put in, for free, to work with you. It's not a giant industry, don't burn bridges like this.
