A recruiter reached out to me and we met for an interview then I was passed on to the second round that was with another recruiter, I guess she was the senior recruiter as she made it clear that she was well far above the first recruiter I had already met with and that SHE was the decision maker and not the initial recruiter. She was so off-putting to say the least as throughout the entire interview she was constantly rolling her eyes when I spoke or if she was talking about someone else. Everything was scripted and so robotic, the questions were so basic and pointless. They were generic interview questions that really don’t have anything to do with what I could bring to the table. She also made comments about how she felt about some of the AE’s at Birdeye and what she thought about when they would pitch on demos, as if they were not up to HER standards or how they pitched were not done in the right way according to her. Ahh yeah the last time I checked she wasn’t in sales, she acted as if she had some kind of authority or knowledge about how they do their job. She was straight up condescending to me and kept telling me that she knows that I don’t know anything about the industry or anything about x,y,z. She really thought she was gods gift to the company. 5 minutes with this arrogant lady and I knew I would not want to be working there if all she could do was put down other people inside the company and then demean me right to my face. They also had this requirement red flag, they were asking for a document to see your proof of quota attainment in prior roles. So this is clearly a company who does not value or trust their employees. What an awful experience. I would have refused to continue in the interview process but I’m sure this self-important employee gets her kicks from rejecting candidates like she did with me. What a joke.
