J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Belden (Montréal, QC)

      Entretien

First was the phone screening with an external partner; second was the phone interview with the manager and one member of a team; third step was the invitation to do some personality and qualification tests (by the way they asked me twice to do the tests the motivation was that there was a bug on their end which I can understand but I don't know if I can trust that reasoning); forth step the on-site invitation with two different groups (one the manager and one member of the team, second one the colleagues from other department). All that gave the impression that this company is serious and take things professionally until the moment when during the second interview the manager enters the conference room, opens the door on the other end of the room, and that's it, disappears. At first I thought that probably that's the exit to some other halls or offices but that was the door to the coffee room of that same conference room. So the manager stood there for the whole period of time and overhearing what I was talking with other colleagues of the team. You would ask how I figured out. Good question. I was hired for that company and by curiosity got in the same room and opened that door and I realized how unprofessional, cheap, cheesy that attitude was from manager's side. The bad thing happened lately when I realized in what mess and toxic work environment I got into. The whole hiring process lasted for 6 months which is ridiculously long. Why I accepted the offer, the whole process gave me the impression that this company was serious, the role and the responsibilities were close to what I was looking for, and I was expecting some new challenges which turned out to be the worst choice in my career path. So pay attention to the small details while interviewing and listen to your gut unless you don't have the choice than to accept the offer or willing to learn from the experience. If you had asked me wherever I would recommend this company or not, it's definitely a solid no because of their toxic work environment, archaic tools, bad management, and nasty, mean employees!
