First interview was with the hiring manager via Zoom. Went well. All the typical interview questions and basic general information about the business. I enjoyed meeting the hiring manager.
Second interview was in person. It was in a very strict secured building where you must provide your government identification to the security guard upon entering. The security guard either scans it, or takes a copy which I was surprised by. From there, the security puts you into a specific elevator which they pre-program with the floor you are going to. Reminded me of a horror movie to be honest. I then met with two executives where I was interviewed rigorously for an hour and then given case studies to interpret and break down for them.
The interview(s) went well, but I did not hear back from them for weeks. I finally hear back and it’s a generic “thank you, no thank you” email. The lack of a call or even a personalized rejection email from the hiring team, showed me that they need quite the education on people operations. You must put the “human” back into Human Resources especially if you are creating a brand name. I see the job still posted online which tells me it’s one of the dreaded “ghost jobs”.
