I dropped my resume with Bazaarvoice during a career fair at my university, but at the time nothing was open. a few months later, I got a call asking to do a phone interview for an intern position that opened up. the phone interview was a pretty standard screening interview, mostly questions about items on my resume, mixed with a few simple behavioral questions.
A week or two later, I was invited to the company site for several 1:1 interviews. I did not realize how casual the dress code was and was the only one in the entire office wearing a tie. I had a series of 3 interviews, one with the same person that gave me the phone interview, and 2 with managers from 2 different groups that were looking at me. these were a little more technical, I was asked to describe how I would write several queries in SQL, as well as a few theroy questions.
Later I was asked to come back for one mroe interview, and I had an informal interview with someone slightly higher up on the chain. this interview was pretty casual and I was just asked about what I thought of the company and industy and was asked a few questions about myself and previous experience.
In the end, I was offered a position and interned at Bazaarvoice for the summer and part-time for two semesters.
