I only had a phone screening interview with the recruiter in human resources. She was friendly able to advise more information about the job as well as go thru the standard process of finding out what my background is. Unfortunately, it was my required minimum salary that caused her to not extend a face to face interview with the hiring manager. I respect that she was honest with me in regards to my desired salary being out of their range, but she never did tell me what the range was. I have been unemployed for almost a year and would've been willing to negotiate. Clearly, what ever they had budgeted as the salary for this position was non-negotiable, even if you have a lot of experience to do the job.
