It took approx 6 months before I got my final offer letter. I went through three rounds before a look & see. The initial offer made to me had one extra Zero and hence I asked them to check if the figures were real. Post meeting up with the Managing Director, I took a final decision to consider the offer but with revised numbers. The post acceptance process was horrible as there were lots of ifs and buts and till the day I reached Mauritius lot of items were grey.My reporting boss had changed and hence there was big pause before we started again.The central bank approval and work permit formalities left me perplexed. On joining date there was nobody to guide me through the infrastructure and I had to make friends to get my work done. However, the hotel room was booked , a car was waiting for me and meetings lined up for the day, which I had no clue about. People were nice and my first impression of team was good.
