A recruiter contacted me about this company, and I agreed to meet them for an interview. I was led to understand this position was for a Java software engineer.
I met two senior directors at the company, and they asked me a number of questions about Javascript and Swagger. At one point I was accused of cheating, when thinking about answer to a question, while staring at my notebook (which was for taking notes, and open on a blank page). I’ve subsequently completed Javascript, typescript and react projects however if they insisted on a specific skill, they could have at least read my cv.
They had evidently set up a number of candidates and were going through them one by one in short 10 minute interviews, a process I’ve never seen or heard another company doing for senior engineers.
Absolutely no time was spent selling the company to me nor was I given time for questions, with the interview ending awkwardly after 10 minutes. In hindsight I should have walked out after the cheating comment.
The directors may think they’re efficient, but they’re just rude. My impression of the company is very negative
