Interviewer were nice and professional. Questions asked were scenario based and it was good.
There are 2 rounds.
The Backbase interview process typically involves several stages, and the specifics can vary depending on the role you're applying for. Here's a general breakdown of what you might encounter:
1. Application: Submit your resume and cover letter highlighting your relevant skills and experience.
3. Video Interview (or Phone Interview): This round typically involves a conversation with a recruiter or hiring manager. They'll discuss your background, interest in the role, and fit with Backbase's culture. Be prepared to answer questions about your experience, skills, and motivations.

Even the interview is a nightmare. They require you to do homework, with a full page of description what they expect from you, and they are unable to send the input file at the first place. They do not share the criteria, but after they reject on like typos and even thing which are not valid.
They are focused what you do not know, and not interested at all what you know.

Question 1
Homework: create an API to rate restaurants, get back the top rated ones, query data from another API.
I found the interviewers somewhat disrespectful. While I was trying to clearly explain the system and the technical background, they seemed distracted—typing and not really listening. Later, they asked questions I had already answered, which made the whole experience feel dismissive.
It wasn’t a great interaction, and frankly, I don’t think I’d be comfortable working with people who approach conversations like that.

They don't have any technical knowledge-- that's why they couldn't ask. Actually they have no idea to do it.
