Entretien
Interview 1- with R&D manager- General chit chat about company, how it works, etc. Questions about my profile, cultural fit. He told me that I will definitely be called for next round which will be technical.
Hr scheduled the next interview next week
Interview 2- with Chief Architect- Very challenging interview based on SOA and JMS. How will I face the clients and recommend Operating systems and App servers? I told them that I don't have experience with spring frameworks and work on JAVA on and off because I work on implementing products of my company.
HR responded that we understand that you don't know spring, but we will teach you since you bring other experience to the table
Next interview after 2 weeks
Interview 3- Technical Director- Quite challenging interview. I did not answer few JAVA questions but other questions about resilience, mvc, distributed deployments and my experience were answered well
I asked HR if there will be any more interviews because I already came to office 3 times for interviews, he responded that no more interviews but if we extend an offer then I will have to meet the manager and team.
After 1 week, I got a response from HR that they want me to take a technical test and then a business case role play, which was a surprise for me as it was not what we discussed last time.
My next surprise was that the test was to implement in spring which as I already mentioned I did not know.
I was given a weekend to implement the use case, which I did using spring framework.
I got a response after almost 1.5 week that I did not clear the technical test and I was not very hands on etc etc.
So it almost took 6 weeks for the whole process and my experience which started really great ended up being really bad. I would expect them to be able to judge a person in 3 round of interviews and not ask them for tests after interviews.
