I received a panel interview invite from BNY Mellon for the Specialist, Business Technology Liaison role Few days before the interview, I happened to check my career portal, and I found out that they rejected my application for which they scheduled the interview. I reached out to the scheduler via email who had sent the interview invite to clarify if interview will still happen or not. Just few minutes after my email, they cancelled the interview invite with the reason stating "Recruiter will contact candidate concerning cancelation of BNY Mellon opportunity ". Nobody reached out to me to provide a proper justification for why exactly the interview was cancelled and why they rejected my application after scheduling the interview. I found it little unprofessional and was not expecting from such a good firm.
