I applied online, and received a call from a recruiter contracted by BMO. It was a review of my resume and digging into each different position, as well as a few situational questions. This was a pleasant conversation, although I found it a little disappointing that the call came 15 minutes later than scheduled. Anyways, I was told I would be contacted by the branch manager (Maryland) for an interview. I was contacted by a branch manager from a different location asking me to come in for an interview. I accepted, but placed a call to Maryland who was the manager of the location I had applied for. I wanted to clarify I was interviewing for that location and was given a runaround. Anyways, I went to the other branch to interview. I walked in confident (not cocky) and well versed on the company, as well as having a sound understanding of finance as this is where my background is. Well I was very obviously more prepared for the interview than the branch manager and the whole thing felt a little awkward with her scrambling to find questions etc..anyway, I finished the interview and was told I would receive a call. Maryland (The branch manager of the location I applied for) called to set up an in person interview so I went. The interview was more situational "tell me a time when...?" type questions. It lasted about an hour and I left feeling good about it. Fast forward about a week, I received a call from another (3rd) branch manager, asking me to come in for a conversation. Not 30 minutes after hanging up the phone I received a call from the Market Manager with an offer for another position I had no interest in. Friendly people all the way around, but a very disorganized process as a whole.
