Once selected for telephone interview you are informed that if successful you will be required to attend an all day assessment followed by a sample task (homework) being set that you must return several days later and spend an additional 1/2 day presenting your sample report/programme plan. This therefore requires almost 2 full days away from your current employer just to apply for their job! I was supposed to be interviewed by the Head of Programme Delivery but a junior person called me 10 minutes after the appointed time and attempted to interview me. I particularly like his complaint about his laptop still running Win XP, I pointed out that most enterprises had declined to upgrade past XP due to stability issues and that there was now a clear move towards Windows 7. "We are installing Windows 8!" he declared. The feedback to the recruiter was that I was too senior and probably not technical enough. I had a lucky escape I believe.
