I applied for a new internal position, where I would transition between an R&D role into a sales/marketing technical service role. I first had to convince HR that despite my experience in this new industry I came armed with a skill set that would allow me to do well. HR showed passed my resume and references onto the hiring manager. My first interview was with the hiring manager. A few days later this followed with 4 separate interviews from individuals within the group and a further HR interview. Each interview was 45 minutes in duration, standard interview questions were asked.

The interview process is very time consuming. I was first contacted by HR for a 30 min screening. During the screening process HR informs you that if you are selected, you will have to give a 20-30 min presentation on a Technical topic if selected to continue. I was called a few days after the screening for and interview the following week. The interview included a 20 min presentation, 10 min Q&A from the interviewers, 60 mins of behavioral based questions from all 4-5 people taking turns. It was a lot for an interview. I prepped 4-5 days and took a lot of time preparing a a presentation.
