      - Applied via LinkedIn - Approached by a recruiter to provide my availability - Call was set for about a week afterwards. Interviewer changed the hour at the last minute - 30 Minutes call with the recruiter, going over my experience. At the end the recruiter mentioned they'd be sending me an email to provide my availability for the next interviews. - It took more than a week for that email to arrive. I provided my availability. It took about 2 more weeks to set the first interview. - The interview date changed a few times inbetween and also the interviewer cancelled the interview 2 hours before, mentioning the recruiter will contact me to reschedule - Needless to say that no one called to reschedule the interview. - A week afterwards I got a call from the recruiter to apologize for the messy process and they mentioned the position is closed. Overall - A terrible terrible disrespectful process. The worst I've had.

The interviewer did not show up. Then I noticed the position was gone. I reached out to recruiters but got no response. The process is unorganized as well. I think I dodged a bullet.

My interview experience at Autodesk was unfortunately quite disappointing and didn't align with my expectations of a leading software company. I initially spoke with an HR recruiter, which went smoothly. However, the subsequent interviews were problematic. The first interview with a Director started late. While I understand busy schedules, the Director arrived with drywall dust on his hands and shirt, which felt unprofessional. The following interviews with two Senior Engineering Managers also suffered from tardiness. One manager joined remotely from a busy public location, experiencing frequent internet connectivity issues and distractions from the surrounding environment. This made it difficult to have a focused conversation. I found the interview questions to be very basic for the role I applied for. More concerning was that when I asked the interviewers questions about the team, projects, or company culture, they seemed unprepared and unable to provide thoughtful responses. This lack of engagement and knowledge was surprising. Following the initial HR screening, I had several unanswered questions. Despite this, I received no further communication from the HR team. Scheduling for the subsequent interviews was handled by a different individual who I never interacted with directly. This lack of follow-up and communication added to my overall negative impression. I had hoped for a more professional and engaging interview experience with Autodesk, given their reputation. Unfortunately, the lack of punctuality, technical difficulties, basic interview questions, and poor communication left me with serious concerns about the company culture and the team's passion for their work.

First a 30 minute interview with a recruiter, then a 30 minute technical interview with a manager of a different team. Never had a chance to talk to the hiring manager. The technical interview was weird. Questions like "since you worked on AWS KMS, tell me what kind of authentication and authorization mechanism you would use for a bunch of services interacting with each other". KMS has nothing to do with authentication or authorization. So I am not sure if those were some weirdly questions to trick me, we had language issues, or if the interviewer was not good at formulating questions. I got rejected after that interview. Asked the recruiter for any specifics, never heard back from the recruiter.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

      - When did you get introduced to DevOps? The recruiter couldn't define what DevOps was for him, the question wasn't about just tools (which is good), but it felt that DevOps as a principle of automating everything and providing infrastructure to development teams wasn't the expected answer. - There was a question about data processing pipelines. My understanding that it was about using SQL vs NoSQL databases for storing data, but I could be wrong. - The question about preferable authentication and authorization mechanism for a bunch of services interacting with each other. During that question, I think, the interviewer mentioned OAuth. I have a feeling that my answer about JWT tokens was not satisfactory. But OAuth is not great for services interacting with each other, it is more for a user to grant some service access to own data in another service, but the interviewer didn't mention such user-service interactions.
