I saw the job listing on June 24, 2025 and applied soon after. On July 23, 2025, a Sourcing Recruiter for the Talent Acquisition team reached out and said, "We received your resume for the Director, Social Video Strategy, YouTube and TikTok role and it looks like your background could be a potential fit! For next steps, we’d love to set up a brief 20-30 minute phone call for you to chat with our Senior Recruiter." We scheduled a call for July 29, 2025. It didn't last very long (15 minutes or so). I sent a follow-up thank you email for the Sourcing Recruiter to pass along to the Senior Recruiter on July 30, 2025. I sent a follow-up email to the Sourcing Recruiter on August 4, 2025 after I saw that Wondery had shut down. I received a response from the Senior Recruiter on August 11, 2025 that read, "Hope all is well! Sorry for the delay in the response. The team has been evaluating the role on the team and figuring out the direction of the team. As soon as the team decides how the team is going to be structured I will be in touch with the direction of the team. Thanks again for your interest in Audible" I didn't immediately register that message as the team passing on me. I thought it meant they're pausing the hiring process to regroup. I saw the job reposted on September 21, 2025 and reached back out to the Senior Recruiter, but didn't receive a response. I saw the job reposted on October 12, 2025 and reached back out to the Senior Recruiter, but didn't receive a response. On October 23, 2025 while applying for another job at Amazon I saw that I was "no longer under consideration" for this role, but never received a rejection email.
