I interviewed with a C-level exec who oversees marketing. What the interviewer knew and I didn't, my ex-husband works at the company. Had I known, I certainly would've never interviewed there. His interview questions were odd, asking me to draw linear deductions and make assessments on areas of marketing for which I wasn't interviewing (graphic design). His interview questions were totally irrelevant for the job I was interviewing for. The interviewer apparently baited me and toyed with me throughout the interview with no intention of ever hiring me. The interviewer talked about how he is a religious man who goes to church regularly and likes to exercise (none of this conversation was relevant or appropriate). Then in the middle of the interview, I heard my ex-husband distinct laugh. He was apparently in the the next office. I froze with fear and was sick to my stomach. I was slow to realize I was being played and this interview was a sham. I entered this interview under genuine circumstances and was completely manipulated. It was unprofessional and totally inappropriate conduct.
