The initial contact and first interview happened quickly, but the rest of the process dragged out over 8 weeks. After two follow up emails to the recruiter and one to the hiring manager, I received the canned rejection email. Inexperienced hiring manager and HR department seemed to slow down the process.

For steps in the interview process: two phone interviews, sit-down interview with three different department heads and final interview with two VP's. Long process and interviews could last a half a day.
