CV and form with questions about company and industry, followed by an assessment day. Waited more than 3 weeks for their decision, before being rejected on Christmas day. Very positive overall experience spoiled by this.

I had a horrible experience dealing with Arups hiring managers. I travelled to the London recruitment event from Scotland in November, to gain more insight into the role and company. It was a pleasant overall experience and it spurred me on to apply. Once I applied, I received an email 2 weeks later, at the start of December, saying that I successfully passed the initial screening stage, and i was moving on to the telephone stage, where they wrote that i will be expecting a phone call in the coming weeks. I never received this phone call. A month passed, and the hiring managers came back on their word and indicated that there was a massive interest in the role and that there is the likelihood that i will not receive this promised phone interview. This went back and forth and I patiently waited telephone interview until early April (6 months after my initial application) I was emailed a rejection saying the positions had been filled. It is highly unprofessional how disorganised the process is especially for such a reputable firm. It seems "..act honourably in our dealings.." doesn't mean anything to recruiters that dealt with my application.
