Entretien
After a thorough written test, I did a one hour technical Skype interview. The phone interview was mostly on the work I did earlier. I was invited for an on-site interview about 6 weeks later due holidays. My experience until this point was very pleasant and straightforward. The on-site interview, however, was an absolute mess. After booking a flight for half way around the world, I was schedule to interview three separate people(Senior Image Quality Manager, Senior Engineering Director, and HR). As soon as I walked into the building I got a distinct impression that they completely forgot that I was planned for the on-site interview. The team leader just came back from the his holidays and asked me to wait for awhile. He came back after about 30 mins and we mostly went over the same topics that we did on the phone interview. After only three hours of face time, he said the interview was concluded. I was planned to do an interview until 5pm and asked why there wasn't an interview with HR. He went around and found the HR person(who he initially thought was away due to the holidays and muttered something about HR interview being pointless) and we quickly did a standard personality questionnaire. Of course, I never even met the director and I never really saw the building other than the shop and few desks right beside the conference room.
At the end of the day, I don't even know why they bother to spend all that money to fly me over if the interview was going to be finished in 3 hours. If the only person I was going to see was that team leader, why bother to schedule an on-site interview?

Entretien
There were three rounds of the interview process. First two happened over Skype and the third one was an on-site interview.
First Skype call was with a hiring manager where we mainly discussed my background and past experience. He also explained me the details about the company and the position, as well as provided some useful insights into the life in the particular office. Overall, I had a very positive feeling - it felt more like a friendly chat than a job interview. Moreover, I have received a call from HR department the next day which I really appreciated.
The second round was with the manager and another senior engineer and it was much more technical. Nevertheless, most of the questions were designed to make me think about the answer and try to justify my thinking rather than determining some memorised information. Once again, both of the interview participants were friendly and I was given the feedback and outcomes in the following days.
For the on-site interview, the company took care of all the bookings and covered all the expenses. The face to face interview was quite thorough, building upon the talks we already had. The first two hours were more technical and the other two hours after lunch were dedicated to talking about the life in the Loughborough office, the town, my preferences, plans for the future, etc.
The whole process was very professionally handled, I felt that the involved people are interested and value my time. Having the comparison with interviewing with other big companies, I can honestly say that this hiring process was by far the best in terms of organisation and people behaviour. It actually made me choose moving to a small English town over the Silicon Valley :)
