No HR involvement. Talked to one scientist who said I was a great fit and they wanted me to talk to another scientist. Was ghosted for 5 weeks. When I pinged them, I was put in touch with another scientist. Second person had no expectations for what type of interview this would be-- I came prepared with slides to present my experience but they preferred to just chat. Had no real questions for me, citing that he didn't have his normal interview questions with him. Told me he thought I was a great fit regardless and could definitely see me on the team. I was rejected via form letter a week later and ghosted when I asked for feedback. Complete mess of an interview process that gave signals of deeper disorganization.

Very unorganized! They started the interview saying I am a great fit and then ghosted me and when I emailed they said you were not a good match! I would appreciate some transparency! Setting this aside, they seemed to be interested in science at least!
