Applied online through LinkedIn and then direct to their website. Received a phone call about two weeks later from the hiring manager to set up an interview. The interview was terrible. The manager first off gave the wrong directions of where to park, had to wander around the venue to ask where he was. Then this manager spent the whole interview talking about how good he was at his job and why he was the best manager. He would not stop talking about himself the whole time. I think I maybe talked for five minutes out of the hour.
He gave me a verbal offer at the end of the interview to which I accepted despite the quality of the interview. He then said he would send me the offer letter that afternoon or the next day. I didn’t receive an offer letter and followed up the next day. He said he was getting right on it and excited to have me join. A week later, I still had not heard from him and received another offer. I reached out letting him know about this and the fact that I had not received an offer yet. After ghosting for a week, he responds with “good luck”. No reference to the fact that he offered me the job and then never sent it.
Overall, it seems like each venue has its own HR policies making it extremely disorganized with who to communicate with, how the process goes, etc. I guess a good company if you’re looking for temp work/a summer job, but not sure about how corporate roles are handled.
