      Entretien pour Front End Developer

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Andor Health (Orlando, FL) en janv. 2021

      Entretien

I had an initial zoom interview that seemed to go well enough. My recruiter called me right away and said they wanted an in-person follow-up interview. They said that it’s rare that they do that and it’s probably a good sign. I showed up for that interview and things went downhill fast. I did not see a single person in the office wearing a mask. A very bizarre scenario for a company that develops a healthcare app. I waited in a small office and was greeted by three maskless men. They conducted the interview in an incredibly condescending manner. My 10+ years of coding experience was verbally written off as “coded a few things”. They grilled me on frameworks not listed on their job posting, nor my resume. In the middle of the interview one of the men told me “full transparency, from the other interview, you’re a little under what we’re looking for.” That left me with two questions: 1) Why do I need to know that? 2) If I’m remedial then why did you arrange a follow-up interview? After leaving, I could not think of a single reason why the interview needed to be in person during a pandemic. I understand that a coding interview will never be easy, but at some point it’s time to drop the bad cop act and make me actually want to work there. They didn’t do that. They seemed more interested in playing head games with the candidate for a laugh than learning anything about them or advertising themselves as a worthwhile company. Had I received an offer, I would have firmly rejected it.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

I clearly was not a serious candidate, so perhaps a more serious one will get more serious questions. They kept asking strange questions about office politics that seemed pretty specific to their workplace. They'd keep firing quick follow up questions. The follow ups were pretty much just asking "but why?" repeatedly until you ran out things to say.
