I was introduced to Ancestry through Hired.com My recruiter was late for his phone call and spent the majority of it between trying to tell me the entire life story of the company and asking very strange questions that felt like he was trying to tick a box/go through some very strict bureaucratic process instead of actually learning about me and the career goals that I had. The call went over fifteen minutes past the scheduled end time, at which I had to cut him off from his diatribe on how the company was restructuring itself and that it was trying to "get the startup vibe once again" because I was late for a meeting. The recruiter tried to then ask me to send me "an updated resume". I asked if Hired did not provide one for him, and he went on a long tangent about how he likes to get another copy "just in case". Obviously, he ghosted me for several weeks and didn't even have the courtesy to close the loop over email. Unprofessional, ridiculous, unacceptable. I would never work for Ancestry in the future.
