The interview was with the Manager and 3 other engineers/scientists. They asked me to explain all the projects that I was involved in during my Ph.D. After my presentation, they ask questions about the applications of my projects and the details of my works.

Phone call, interview with the manager and then two panel interviews. I feel like this is extremely unnecessary but they do want to find the right person for the job

it is a pannel interview with upper management and current sr process engineers, they ask question one at a time and each make follow up questions. questions are difficult and require experience and knowledge.
