Extremely long, outdated, disorganized, and emotionally draining process. I wish no one had to go through this process and no process should ever last over half a year.
They worked with Korn Ferry for the recruitment of the program and I cannot tell if it was Amcor's fault, Korn Ferry's or both.
I applied on Feb. 2021. and between March and May, I had 1 video interview, 3 online tests, and was invited to an assessment center that lasted half-day for a group exercise, a presentation of a case study, and another interview (This was supposed to be the final step).
I was asked to do a follow-up interview and a few days later they send a rejection e-mail offering to provide feedback. I happily requested the feedback thinking I could use it to help my interviewing skills. I didn't receive it back until a month later from a "NO-REPLY" e-mail. What caught my eye was that the overall feedback was very positive.
A week later, I receive an email with “AMCOR OFFER” as subject title. They tried to re-call the email unsuccessfully and changed the subject title to “AMCOR ROLE DETAILS” offering me a role with a different hiring manager. I replied with availability for a call to learn more and heard no response.
Two weeks later, I followed up again because at this point I was already in the final stages at 2 other companies.
They asked to schedule a MEETING with HR the same day, but send an email saying INTERVIEW with the Marketing Director on the SAME DAY, and if I could have one with the Commercial Director the following day.
I called Korn Ferry to clarify and they mention it will be just a ‘MEET AND GREET” and not an actual interview. Amcor HR calls me later in the day to let me know it will be an interview. As for the second interview, I found myself on the day of the interview without a link to the call, not a confirmation nor a cancellation of it. I ended up withdrawing my application and wish I had done it sooner and not waste my time with them.
Forgot to mention, a week before the half-day session in the North American process, they sent me an email to invite me to apply for a role in Latin America.
The only person that seemed to have people skills in this whole process was the senior manager from HR.
