The individuals I interacted with were quite kind and pleasant. I applied for the position with an expected salary that I believed to be fair for my needs. I recognize that everyone has to start somewhere. However, during my interview, the salary offered was significantly lower than what was advertised on a well-known job search platform. I respectfully noted the discrepancy, but my interviewer seemed unaware of the advertisement I mentioned. Nonetheless, she remarked that their staff is generally younger, which sometimes presents challenges. My concern was not working with a younger demographic, but rather if my age would affect my hiring chances, especially since the store caters to a broad age range of women. The interviewer said she would need to consult with her superiors about negotiating the salary further. Eventually, I received a call informing me they would not be moving forward with my application. The interview process itself was straightforward, and the interviewers were amiable. A downside is the required uniform of a white shirt and denim jeans, which is disappointing given the variety of attractive items available. You're not allowed to wear anything the store sells, which seems counterintuitive. If you're considering employment there, these are some aspects to keep in mind.
