Interview Details - I applied for the Analyst role at AplhaSights after seeing their ongoing recruitment scheme advertised on 'Milkround.com'. The initial application was pretty straightforward… providing short answers to four questions and submitting my CV. I was contacted 4 days following this and then an initial meeting was set up for the following week. The first interview was very relaxed and I was asked general C.V and personality based questions. The two Alphasight's employees talked to me a lot about the history of the firm, and its future…. this proved to be really helpful. The following day I was contacted inviting me to a second round interview. For the second round I had to prepare a short presentation which was typical of a day-to-day task carried out by an analyst at AlphaSights, and following questions on my presentation we moved on to further C.V based questions and the usual "why AlphaSights?", "Who are the competitors?", etc. The same day I was contacted to invite me back 3 days later for a final round interview with the MD. This interview was about 2.5 hours long and was very, very in depth… Starting from birth to current day I think relatively few stones in my life we left unturned! While the whole process was pretty intense I think it was a fair assessment and was done in a speedy and effective way. I received and accepted my job offer as an Analyst in London the same afternoon. Overall the whole application process was really refreshing. No online testing and 1000 word essay questions…. This is a company who are prepared to put in the time to find out as much as they can about you and I really got the impression that they want to know if they can help me achieve my own goals, as well as understand if I am the right person to help them achieve their goals.
