I have applied for positions as an unarmed security officer at my local Allied Universal office a few times over the course of this year; most of those times I applied online in response to an ad I saw online and the last time I went to an Open House that I saw advertised online.
Each time I go to the office it seems that they have different people working there doing the interviewing, which makes me wonder about turnover there. When I ask about a specific job that I saw advertised, they always seem to tell me that the job isn't available, and then come up with alternative jobs that are always "flex" positions or graveyard shifts - the type of stuff that most people don't want. They were happy when I said that I already had my guard license as they could put me out to work right away, but then when I said I'd be willing to work one of their graveyard shift jobs (without any shift differential pay, by the way), they told me that I'd have to do 3 days of training first. Why do I need 3 days of training when I've already completed 24 hours (3 days) of training to get my guard license? What a waste of time. I won't be applying for anymore jobs here.

After submitting my application, I received an e-mail with instructions to complete a one-way video interview. A few days after this was completed, I received a phone call from the Account Manager for the location to schedule an in-person interview. During the in-person interview itself, I was asked several questions to determine any existing qualifications, prior experience, and understanding of the job I was applying for, along with schedule preferences. Once the interview was completed, I was given an offer shortly after and sent to the nearest branch office to complete onboarding and guard certification.

Pretty standard interview questions. Made sure you were a fit. They wanted to make sure you could work certain schedules and see how flexible you could be, what you were looking for in terms of compensation.

Super easy job, they hire every and anybody. Very flexible schedule, sometimes no breaks/lunches, strict on having people on site no matter what you have going on. They will fire you.
