Applied online. Was contacted a few weeks later via email to provide times for an interview. No HR screening call, rather a direct 30 minute zoom with the chief people officer. Immediately following that 30 minutes with the new CMO. The first call was conversational, respectful. The second call was not the same. The interviewer seem disinterested in meeting me. I follow up with both expressing my interest. Two weeks passed, I sent a follow up to the cheif people officer as they were the point of contact. No response. Another week passed, no response. Roughtly 8 weeks later I got a generic "thanks but not thanks" rejection email from a recruiter whom I've never interacted with, but who signed it as the chief people officer. I don't understand why there is not more respect for those who take time off work, study and prepare and take the time to interview with you.
Applied online through the portal, and was contacted after about 3 weeks. The interview request came via email with all the candidates CC'd for the role. After setting up the time for the interview, the recruiter said they'd be in contact for the next steps.
After about 3.5 weeks since said interview with no word back, no next steps, or a declination email, it is safe to say that I have been ghosted. While I don't mind not getting the job, not being the best fit, or anything along those lines, ghosting candidates is extremely unprofessional and uncalled for.
