J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Aledade en mars 2020
Entretien
Initial phone screen with a couple of technical questions. Then a take-home assignment was provided. After submission, a final interview to discuss the solution and pros/cons of approach taken by the candidate. The process was well coordinated and respectful of the candidate's time. The interviewers demonstrated a great grasp of the subjects being talked about, while making me feel very comfortable. It was more like a discussion than an interview.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Mostly discussed the approach taken by the candidate on the take-home test, so depends on the solution the candidate came up with. Fair number of questions on Python and SQL since that's what the company uses.
TL;DR: This company has an odd vibe, make sure that you're VERY detail oriented during your coding sessions - they are looking for deep knowledge of syntax. Higher level design stuff matters less than other places.
Pros:
- Very easy interview process
- Take home assessment with lots of time given to complete (leetcode medium + SQL statement question)
- 4 interviews total, less than other places
Cons:
- They are looking for syntax knowledge during live interview
- Pay is low compared to other places
- No one seemed happy/excited working there
Noteable weirdness:
- One of the managers said the company is stable, layoffs unlikely. Then bragged to me that they never had to worry about being laid off because of all their experience. Then they said the engineers they oversee still worry about layoffs because the engineers are "anxious and have mental health problems". Honestly a hilarious thing for a manager to say in an interview but I was a bit taken aback lol
- One of the engineers said "Where have you even used this language? Just in school?" When I made a syntax mistake during the live final interview. I was interviewing for a senior position, had made it through the first 3 interviews, and my resume lists many years of experience lol. Kind of a borderline disrespectful thing to say to someone that's interviewing. Like even if you know I've failed the interview you could at least be polite during the interview.
But hey maybe it's an awesome place to work! I wouldn't know. :)

There were 4 rounds one screening and the other 3 were technical rounds, mainly testing your knowledge of software technologies and tools. They give you enough time to answer all the questions, however, there is no pause on the timer (once started) if you have to take care of some emergency just in case.

Entretien
Interviewed with Aledade. The interview wasn't too difficult. Took a final round panel interview this month. Didn't receive any news for a week. Finally the recruiter schedule a phone call to inform me that they are gonna terminate my process . So disrespectful. If you are gonna decline me, just send me an email, why schedule a phone call on purpose. I feel like my time was waste. This company is so unprofessional. Eventually I didn't get any useful feedback from them, purely waste of time.

Question 1
3 coding tasks, follow up panel interview regarding the coding tasks and some other behavior questions.
