I applied about two weeks before I was reached out to by one of their recruiters. After discussing more about the role with them and my previous background, I was looking forward to moving ahead with the interview process. The next week, I had a phone interview with two employees from their Supply Chain team, which was a session that lasted for under an hour. I thought the interview went really well, and I was told I’d have to wait until the middle of next week to learn of their decision because their hiring manager was out of town, and to reach out in case I haven’t heard a response back.
I emailed the recruiter with a question following the phone interview, but never received a response. Then after a week had gone by, I emailed the recruiter again, as instructed to do so previously, about inquiring about a decision. Again, no response.
Following three weeks after my last interview, I received an automated message saying they were moving forward with a different candidate. While I respect the team’s decision to move forward with someone they found more qualified for the role, I find it disrespectful that I was left in the dark by the recruiter, especially after they mentioned to me multiple times to email them with any questions.
