I sent my CV (straight to an email address that a friend passed to me- it seems you really need a contact in the HR department to have a chance) and I got an email to schedule an initial chat which happened the following day over the phone. I thought everything went well and I was really interested in the position. But the following day I got an email with the "unfortunately we won't go further with you application". Very disappointing. But at least I didn't spend days waiting for a chat and the result of it.
