Was contacted over the phone by a Montreal employee regarding a Ramp Agent role at Pearson Airport in Toronto. I had an interview scheduled the following week. I arrived for the interview at the Four Points by Sheridan and had a great experience. The people were friendly, we got along well, the job duties seemed to fit me well, they agreed so they moved me on to the next step which is medical exam. I assumed this was for health reasons as the job consisted of lifting heavy objects, however, it was actually a drug test in which THEY WILL DENY YOU EMPLOYMENT IF YOU TEST POSITIVE FOR MARIJUANA... yes you read the correctly, a legal substance that stays in your system for a month can prevent you from proceeding, I’m not even sure how this is legal as technically you could have smoked one joint a month ago and then be denied employment because you test positive. That is absurd and in 2019 it is actually ridiculous. At least warn people, IF YOU COME FOR THE VERY FIRST INTERVIEW YOU WILL BE DRUG TESTED AND DENIED IF YOU TEST FOR THC

Basic interview, very straight forward if you have done an interview before. Asking questions about why you want to work for the company and the adverse weather and ability to work in it.
