Passed initial screening and moved to the take home assessment process. The requirement was pretty simple: write any chat app (with any network library) in CPP. If you're in this stage, don't do it. I'll explain why below.
While the task itself is simple, it took me some good hours to plan, study, and polish the application to a point where IMO the whole codebase is pretty nice for any standard.
The recruiters never replied with anything afterwards for weeks even after further follow up. I think this sort of disregard to the applicants' time was extremely disrespectful on their side. Glad I don't have to work with them.
