I recently went through an extensive interview process with Agora, involving eight interviews, each lasting an hour. This experience was marked by a significant lack of professionalism and follow-through in the end.
Initially, I was informed that my seventh interview would be the final one. However, I was later surprised to receive an email scheduling an eighth interview without prior notice or confirmation of my availability. Despite the eighth interview going well, I did not receive any follow-up communication, leaving me feeling ghosted and disregarded.
This experience, coupled with the company's lack of timely communication and transparency, has left me questioning the overall professionalism of their hiring practices. It reflects poorly on the company's commitment to professional courtesy and respect for candidates' time and effort.
While I understand that a senior role may require an extensive interview process, the lack of transparency and follow-up throughout the eight rounds was disheartening. Although I recognize the necessity of thorough evaluations, the absence of transparency left me feeling undervalued and uncertain about the next steps.
In my view, a more respectful and communicative approach would have greatly enhanced the candidate experience. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive input for improving their interview process in the future.
