I had an HR phone screening, and it was bit different from what I expected. Instead of focusing on behavioral questions, HR asked me to explain tech terms to her and me rate my skills in TypeScript and Angular on a scale of 1 to 5. It felt odd to give a general score without discussing my projects, especially over the phone where I couldn’t show anything.
The tech questions weren’t hard but caught me off guard to explaine tech term to a nontech person over a phone call.
At the end, HR said they’d get back to me next week, but I never heard back. I don’t mind a rejection email, but if they don’t plan to follow up, they shouldn’t promise to.(update: received the rejection letter the day after posting this review)
