Completed job application online. Received an email a couple days latter to complete the assessment. I thought I bombed the assessment, but a couple days latter I got an email stating I was being considered entered into a pool. I figured oh well won't hear from them. Another two days passed and I got a phone call from South Carolina to setup an interview for the following week. (Aflac has offices in SC as well) Showed up to what I thought was an interview for just me, but there were about 200 people. Once I looked at the competition I knew I had the job. For the most part everyone was dressed poorly. I was literally one of the few people in a business suit and heels. Everyone else was in shorts, skirts, sandals, and clothing not appropriate for an interview. I sat for my interview and did very well. I am excellent at star behavioral interviewing. Three days later came my offer letter on a Saturday morning. Please note training is about 16 weeks M-F 8-5. You can only miss two days. The third day you are dismissed. Training is very intense and you must be quick on your feet.

The recruiter was not very knowledgeable on the full details of the position and salary. I advised her I was not interested in a part time position at the 21k I was quoted. However I was contacted to schedule an interview and once I declined the original recruiter called me back and advised I would be interviewing for a FT position. Needless to say I was offered the position on a PART TIME BASIS. Which I declined, the recruiter definitely was unprofessional and unable to answer a lot of basic questions. Not to mention I showed up for my interview and was told the person I was there to interview with Did not do interviews! After waiting almost 35 mins I ended up being interviewed by supervisors from the area. They were great people and answered a lot of my questions truthfully which I could respect 100%.

Filled out a short form, was offered a drink, under 5-10 minute wait. Taken back to office, asked why I wanted to work there, also why I was a good fit for them. Company fully explained, benefits, answered my questions, told when they would call. Walked out to front lobby; whole experience was comfortable, classy, and not at all intimidating.
