Where to begin. The recruiter aired personal life grievances in initial call. Second call with hiring manager was canceled and rescheduled to 7 a.m. which was outside of the times I requested. Then there was an odd case study that may have been missing some key words in the prompt as the person I presented it to seemed a little confused. The person I presented the case study to didn't quite seem to have interviewed or hired anyone before. They abruptly interrupted halfway through the presentation and felt a key point was unnecessary, leaving me to scramble through the rest of the presentation leaving that detail out. A week later, I received a voicemail of rejection. I understand in their formula, picking up the phone and calling is important, but not having a paper trail is detrimental especially after putting 5 or more hours into everything for these interview already.
