J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris plus de 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Adyen

      Entretien

I applied Adyen through a recruiter. My interview had 6 rounds that I had to go through: 1 with HR, 1 with team head, 1 with the team which included multiple team heads from different functioning line, 1 case study presentation to the team, 1 with a senior management member and finally a board member which I never got to and I will explain in the end. The first three interviews (HR, Team heads, team)were really about finding out about you and whether or not you fit the team and the culture. Overall, the atmosphere was very relaxing and conversational which I have really enjoyed talking to the HR and their team. They also gave great feedbacks on the spot which made it more engaging. For me, the case study interview round was difficult but doable given I never worked in the payment industry before applying this role. I actually spent quite some time in doing research and learning everything from scratch before putting up a presentation. The extra preparation helped me alot in succeeding the presentation. Be aware that they might throw in questions to you from time to time but don't panic, it is fine to have the wrong answers. These questions are for them to observe the way you will handle an unexpected situations and your reasoning behind it. After the presentations, the interviewers will have casual converastions and go through the presentation with you and give you instant feedback. The interview with a senior management member was where my interview journey came to an end. The interview itself was very similar to previous rounds, which was very conversational and was about finding out who you are and how you fit with the team. Unfortunately, I was rejected due to the lack of industry experience and not showing interest for the role. In hindsight, I think the rejection reason was pretty absurd because they knew that I was new to the industry since Day 1. It's ironic too because if I wasn't interested at the role, I wouldn't have spent so much time in doing research and finding out about the company throughout the whole interview journey. TL;DR: Be ready to take multiple days off from your current job for the interview. Even though the company's website says they welcome newcomers with zero background/ expereince, it is not often the case (at least for my case). Got rejected in the end due to the lack of industry experience which they knew about since Day 1 and decided to move me forward in the interview process for over a month.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Very standard interview questions in the first 3 rounds which included tell me about yourself, sharing your work experience, expereince in handling different situations, why Adyen etc. Word of advise is to really know the Adyen formula and have a fair understanding of what the company does and the industry itself. For case study round, I suggest to research about the company, the industry and their targeted customer and have an in-depth knowledge of their product and services. offered Their glossary site was really helpful in explaining most of the technical stuff
