After applying online, I was invited to a video recording interview. Where I was recorded over the internet answering some basic questions like"describe yourself".
Next I had a video chat over Skype with the hiring manager about my experiences and motivation, I spoke quite a lot, with her doing a lot of listening.
I then had my first 2 interviews scheduled in one day, I found it interesting that the hiring manager called it a "coffee/chat" which was to last 2-3 hours. I met the hiring manager and 3 other colleagues within the Implementation Team.
An hour with the first pair (1st Interview) which centred a lot on my story, I was then asked to do an unplanned demo in front of a pretend client, this was to gauge my knowledge of the company and their offerings.
The next pair (2nd Interview) was more technical, a general discussion of payment tech and the supporting tech industry as well to gauge my knowledge of the industry, programming and tech. I was offered lots of coffee and given a mini tour of their office. In both interviews I was asked several times if I had any questions.
I was then called after about a week to schedule my next set of interviews. They were 3 in total and put in one day. One with someone from HR, then the Head of Implementation and the final one with a board member, each lasting 30-45mins.
The one with the HR was mostly casual, seeing if I'm a cultural fit. The 2nd one was quite technical again relying more on my experiences and background, motivations and where I wanted to progress in my Adyen Career. The one with the Board member was quite hard to read, I felt he was exhausted but amongst all the Adyen staff I met, he was the only one who could actually maintain sufficient eye contact with me so I think he was more of a character judge and ultimate cultural fit assessor so to speak with his probing questioning style.
