Process was a slow and a mess. HR told me that they were hiring for software engineer 1 and would put me in the process but there was a sudden change in things and they wanted to hire for the swe 2 role instead. During the first round, when I was interviewing for the role, the interviewer did not provide much guidance even after clarifying the question and approach I will take. This wasted much time because they wanted the optimal answer but he still allowed me to proceed to coding. The interview question was not well explained and I only figured out what information I could work with after half an hour....

Recruiter sent me a take-home assignment. I spent more than 8 hours on it, only to be rejected 5 minutes after the screening call because they hadn’t set up the ATS filters and didn’t check my application thoroughly. Promised to send a follow-up email the next day and, of course, they didn’t. Super unprofessional, no respect to applicants time

Practical problems that were different than your typical leetcode style questions. They let you look stuff up and use AI if you need it. Interview consisted of phone screen, and then full loop with hiring manager, system design, past project review.
