I had “technical” interview with 2 engineers. The interview scheduled after 3 weeks of HR screening. By this time may be they have already someone on the pipeline. The interviewers didn’t introduce themselves from the get going and didn’t show up on video at all. My first impression was that it was disrespectful for a candidate on the video waiting you while you hide. Without Intro, I was directly asked on different characterization techniques. Questions were unorganized, random and surface level, mainly if I touch and worked on the instrument. I would not rate the interview technically deep, rather full of randomness and in some cases, I doubt the interviewers had correct technical understanding. At last, almost no time left for me to ask questions. I am happy i was not selected.
