Phone interview with hr went extremely well. She was complimentary on my body of work and ”talent”. The hr person also thought my online photo was “pretty”. The salary was low but agreed upon along with potential travel to the site from time to time. I was then directed to the next tier to interview with the Chief Impact Officer was also so very complimentary of my artistic talent, ability and proven work. She explained the job and I understood the job perfectly.
I no doubt had the talent and the qualifications. I was very qualified, in fact probably over qualified. I designed and maintained much higher positions then this in the past. I have designed extensively for consumer products and marketing areas related to children. I was a well rounded candidate. In addition I have also volunteered for non profit organizations very much like this.
I believe when both ladies together saw my age on the zoom interview they decided to pass on me. This is a total case of total age discrimination.
